About my Painting Art
I am an emerging artist. I started painting in January of 2017. I have always wanted to paint. After having success with my abstract fine art photography, a number of friends and others encouraged me to paint. I waited for a while so I could concentrate on my fine art photography and have a clear direction with that art. After about two years, I decided it was time to try my hand at painting.
I quickly discovered the difference between light and pigment. My first painting literally looked like mud. I didn't give up. I plowed ahead and kept painting to refine this new art and find my voice. After about 3 months, my paintings began to look like what I imagined in my mind. Pablo Picasso summed it up when he said, "I begin with an idea and then it becomes something else."
Since it has been only a short time since I started painting, there is little more to say at this point other then, I love my new found creative outlet and you will be seeing a lot more from me in both my fine art abstract painting and photography.
